The Bitcoin network consists of many different nodes. The nodes are small, inexpensive computers that are all connected to each other via the internet. These computers are called "nodes" or, as in the game, "full nodes".
Anyone who wants to can run a full node. When you run a full node, you can connect it to your wallet and increase your privacy.
